Quick answer: A portable wheelchair ramp is a folding aluminum ramp you carry to a step, curb or vehicle and set up in seconds, with no tools. EZ-ACCESS SUITCASE ramps come in 2 to 10 foot lengths, hold 800 lbs, are made in the USA and ship free.
| Ramp | Lengths | Capacity | Best for |
|---|---|---|---|
| SUITCASE Singlefold | 2 to 8 ft | 800 lbs | Single steps, curbs and low porches; lowest price |
| SUITCASE Advantage | 2 to 6 ft | 800 lbs | Steps and curbs; splits into two lighter halves |
| SUITCASE Trifold AS | 5 to 10 ft | 800 lbs | Higher steps, decks, vans and SUVs; folds to half length |
| TRAVERSE Walk Ramp | 4 to 14 ft | 1,200 lbs | Pickup trucks, trailers and heavier loads |
| TRAVERSE Edgeless | 2 to 8 ft | 1,000 to 1,600 lbs | Mowers, snow blowers and wide equipment; not for wheelchairs |
Measure the rise in inches, from the ground to the top of the step or vehicle floor. For a wheelchair user, plan 1 foot of ramp per inch of rise, so a 6 inch step needs a 6 foot ramp. Steeper slopes need an attendant. Our free Ramp Wizard gives the exact length, or see our portable ramp buying guide .
Every SUITCASE ramp holds 800 lbs, enough for the user, a power chair or scooter, and a caregiver. TRAVERSE Walk Ramps hold up to 1,200 lbs.
Yes. A 2 foot Singlefold weighs 11 lbs and an 8 foot weighs 47 lbs. The Advantage and Trifold models split into two pieces for lighter lifting.
The SUITCASE Trifold folds compact for the trunk and rests securely on the vehicle floor. For pickup trucks, choose a TRAVERSE Walk Ramp.
